Multiple brackets per participant
By default, each participant can submit one bracket entry. You can allow multiple entries per participant, which increases engagement and lets participants hedge their predictions.
Enabling multiple entries
Section titled “Enabling multiple entries”- Go to Admin → Bracket competition → Settings
- Under Entry limits, set Max entries per participant (1–5)
- Save
How multiple entries work
Section titled “How multiple entries work”When multiple entries are allowed, each participant can submit up to the configured number of separate brackets. Each bracket:
- Is submitted and scored independently
- Appears separately on the leaderboard
- Shows the participant’s name with a bracket number (e.g. “Alex Johnson — Bracket 2”)
The leaderboard shows all entries from all participants. A participant with three entries could occupy three separate leaderboard positions.
Leaderboard display options
Section titled “Leaderboard display options”For competitions with multiple entries, you can choose how the leaderboard handles a participant’s multiple brackets:
| Option | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Show all | Every bracket entry appears on the leaderboard separately (default) |
| Best only | Only a participant’s highest-scoring bracket appears |
| Average | A participant’s average score across all brackets appears |
Configure in Admin → Bracket competition → Settings → Leaderboard.
Scoring and prizes
Section titled “Scoring and prizes”Multiple entries interact with prizes in an important way. If prizes are awarded to top leaderboard positions, a single participant could claim multiple prize positions if all their entries rank highly.
To prevent this, enable One prize per participant in Admin → Bracket competition → Prizes.
