Creating groups
Groups let you segment participants into sub-competitions — departments, offices, regions, teams, or any other slice of your audience. Each group has its own leaderboard alongside the hub-wide one.

Creating a group
Section titled “Creating a group”- Go to Admin → Groups → New group
- Enter a group name (e.g. “Marketing”, “Sydney Office”, “VIP Members”)
- Optionally add a description
- Click Create
The group is created immediately with no members. Add members next.
Adding members to a group
Section titled “Adding members to a group”Manual assignment
Section titled “Manual assignment”- Go to Admin → Groups → [Group name] → Members
- Click Add members
- Search by name or email and select participants
- Click Add
CSV import
Section titled “CSV import”- Click Import from CSV
- Upload a CSV with one email address per row
- Fanzava matches emails to existing participants and adds them to the group
Participants not yet in your hub are skipped — invite them first, then add to the group.
At invite time
Section titled “At invite time”When inviting new participants, you can assign them to a group at the same time:
- Go to Admin → Participants → Invite
- After entering emails, select a group from the Assign to group dropdown
- Send invites
Groups and competitions
Section titled “Groups and competitions”Groups are hub-wide — once created, they apply to every competition in your hub. Fanzava automatically creates a group leaderboard for each competition.
A participant can be in multiple groups simultaneously. Their score appears on all group leaderboards they belong to.
