Per-competition prizes
Prizes are configured separately for each competition. Fanzava handles the prize display and announcement — the actual prize fulfilment is your responsibility.
Adding prizes to a competition
Section titled “Adding prizes to a competition”- Go to Admin → Competitions → [Competition] → Prizes
- Click Add prize
- Configure the prize:
- Position — which rank wins (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.)
- Prize name — what the prize is (e.g. “Season champion”, “$100 gift card”)
- Prize description — optional details shown to participants
- Prize image — optional image of the prize (helps with engagement)
- Save
Add as many prize tiers as you want. Common setups:
- 1st place only (“Winner takes all”)
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd
- Top 10% of the leaderboard
Round prizes
Section titled “Round prizes”You can also add prizes for individual rounds — e.g. “Best round score wins a coffee voucher”:
- Go to Admin → Competitions → [Competition] → Rounds → [Round] → Prize
- Add a round prize
Round prizes are announced in the round results email.
Prize display
Section titled “Prize display”Configured prizes appear on the competition page so participants know what’s at stake. This significantly increases early-season engagement.
Announcing winners
Section titled “Announcing winners”At season end, Fanzava automatically:
- Identifies prize winners based on final leaderboard positions
- Sends each winner a congratulations email with their prize details
- Posts a winners announcement to the hub (if the Banter Board is enabled)
You can also manually announce winners in Admin → Competitions → [Competition] → Prizes → Announce winners.
Ties at prize positions
Section titled “Ties at prize positions”If two participants tie for a prize position (same leaderboard rank after all tiebreakers), both receive the prize. Fanzava flags this for you so you can arrange fulfilment for both.
