Pick visibility

Pick visibility controls whether participants can see each other’s bracket picks while the tournament is still in progress.

Visibility options

Configure in Admin → Bracket competition → Settings → Pick visibility:

Option	Description
Hidden until entry closes	No one’s picks are visible until the entry deadline passes
Hidden until round completes	Picks for upcoming rounds are hidden until that round is scored
Always visible	All picks are visible to all participants at all times
Hidden until my picks are submitted	A participant sees others’ picks only after submitting their own

Recommended approach

For most competitions, Hidden until entry closes is the best balance:

• It prevents participants from copying each other’s brackets before submitting
• Once the tournament starts and entries close, everyone can see all picks — which adds to the drama as results come in

Bracket reveal

When pick visibility opens (at entry close or round completion), Fanzava can send an optional “picks are now visible” notification to all participants. Enable in Admin → Emails → Bracket reveal notification.

Admin visibility

Hub admins can always see all picks regardless of the visibility setting. This is for moderation and support purposes.

Note

Pick visibility applies to the participant interface only. The leaderboard always shows scores and rankings — it does not reveal which specific teams a participant picked unless you’ve set visibility to always visible.
